I’m Ali McCarthy, co-owner of Zanshin Martial Arts.

I started my Martial Arts journey as an adult, and let me tell you, it’s never too late!

Continuing to learn new things keeps your brain young, and what I’ve learned goes far beyond self-defense.

PRACTICAL & MODERN WEAPONS TRAINING

Our Arnis class is part of our specialty programs and focuses heavily on use of as well as defense against two weapons that are commonly available to everyone: sticks & knives. 

This class is a lot of fun in addition to also building coordination & solid skills of using and defending against weapons. 

 

Arnis is a fantastic way to get some extra training to augment other skills. Learn how to use short sticks as well as the knife. We train in defending against those weapons, and are able to have FUN and improve COORDINATION all at the same time.

Our Crucible program is both an upgrade to standard training as well as offered as a stand alone program. 

This class teaches martial skills for FITNESS as well as solid FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENTS combined with ENDURANCE TRAINING. In other words, it uses real human body movements. 

We incorporate skills from Martial Arts, High Intensity Interval Training, Pilates, Tai Chi, TRX, & MORE! 

This group fitness class focuses on quality compound movements meant to give you the most BANG for your buck! We work on the whole body holistically and not just the “mirror muscles”.  Train with others to help stay MOTIVATED to reach your personal GOALS!
